Buildings provide the player with permanent benefits, from allowing the player to acquire resources, to opening up trading opportunities, to expanding village population.

Trap

"builder says she can make traps to catch any creatures might still be alive out there"
Available shortly after the Builder has recovered and is able to work. A maximum of 10 traps can exist at a given time.

Cost:

  • wood: number of the trap to be built * 10

Effect:

  • “Check traps” will randomly collect cloth, teeth, scales, fur, meat, or a charm.

Cart

"builder says she can make a cart for carrying wood"
Available shortly after the Builder has recovered and is able to work.

Cost:

  • wood: 30

Effect:

  • Gathering wood yields 50 wood.

Hut

"builder says there are more wanderers. says they'll work, too."
Available once some amount of wood is obtained.
maximum: 20

Cost:

  • wood: 50 + (number of the hut to be built * 50)

Effect:

  • Increases the maximum population by 4 (assigned to the gatherer profession by default)

Lodge

"villagers could help hunt, given the means"

Cost:

  • wood: 200
  • fur: 10
  • meat: 5

Effect:

Trading Post

"a trading post would make commerce easier"

Cost:

  • wood: 400
  • fur: 100

Effect:

  • Unlocks the ability to trade or buy resources in The Room.

Tannery

"builder says leather could be useful. says the villagers could make it."
Available once some amount of wood and Fur are obtained.

Cost:

  • wood: 500
  • fur: 50

Effect:

  • Unlocks the Tanner occupation.

Smokehouse

"should cure the meat, or it'll spoil. builder says she can fix something up."
Available once some amount of wood and Meat are obtained.

Cost:

  • wood: 600
  • meat: 50

Effect:

Workshop

"builder says she could make finer things, if she had the tools"
Available once some amount of wood, Leather, and Scales are obtained.

Cost:

  • wood: 800
  • leather: 100
  • scales: 10

Effect:

  • Unlocks the ability to "Craft" items in The Room.

Steelworks

"builder says the villagers could make steel, given the tools"
Available once some amount of wood, Iron, and Coal are obtained.

Cost:

  • wood: 1500
  • iron: 100
  • coal: 100

Effect:

Armoury

"armoury's done, welcoming back the weapons of the past."
Available once 10 sulphur are obtained (from Sulphur Mine) and ~ 1500 wood

Cost:

  • wood: 3000
  • steel: 100
  • sulphur: 50

Effect:

  • Unlocks the ability to craft Bullets in The Room.
