Buildings provide the player with permanent benefits, from allowing the player to acquire resources, to opening up trading opportunities, to expanding village population.

Trap[]

Available shortly after the Builder has recovered and is able to work. You can't own more than 30 traps at once.
Cost:

Cart[]

"the rickety cart will carry more wood, faster."
Available shortly after the Builder has recovered and is able to work.
Cost:

  • wood: 30

Effect:

  • Gathering wood yields 18 wood.


Hut[]

"builder puts up a hut, out in the forest. says word will get around."
Available once some amount of Wood is obtained.
maximum: 20
Cost:

  • wood: 20 + (n*60)

Effect:

  • Increases the population size by 4.
  • Increases the number of wood each gather count.


Lodge[]

"a hunting lodge stands in the forest, a ways out of town."
Unlocks the Hunter and Trapper occupations.
Cost:

  • wood: 200
  • fur: 10
  • meat: 5


Trading Post[]

"now the nomads have a place to set up shop, they might stick around a while."
Cost:
Unlocks the ability to trade or "buy" resources in The Room

  • wood: 300
  • fur: 100


Tannery[]

"tannery goes up quick, on the edge of the village."
Cost:
Available once some amount of Wood and Fur are obtained.
Unlocks the Tanner occupation.
Cost:

  • wood: 500
  • fur: 50


Smokehouse[]

"builder finishes the smokehouse. her reluctance shows."
Available once some amount of Wood and Meat are obtained.
Unlocks the Charcutier occupation.
Cost:

  • wood: 600
  • meat: 50

Once a certain population is reached, having a smokehouse will cause the "population" to turn into "slaves".

Workshop[]

"workshop's finally ready"
Available once some amount of Wood, Leather, and Scales are obtained.
Unlocks the ability to create items in The Room.
Cost:

  • wood: 800
  • leather: 100
  • scales: 10


Steelworks[]

"a dark haze falls over the village as the steelworks fires up."
Available once some amount of Wood, Iron, and Coal are obtained.
Unlocks the Steelworker occupation.
Cost:

  • wood: 1500
  • iron: 100
  • coal: 100


Armoury[]

"armoury's done. a dark age sets in she says."
